Roll the playdough, press the item, and explore the impression!
Materials:
- Playdough
- Child-sized rolling pin *optional
- Items from around the house
Instructions:
Prior to the activity, gather a few items from around the house that can create unique impressions in playdough (a key, plastic block, beaded necklace, etc.) To start, flatten playdough using a rolling pin or your hands. Then press each item into the playdough one by one and investigate the impression. Feel each impression and describe how they each feel. Once you’ve made all the impressions, go back and match each item with the impression it made.
