Paint apples using a fun cotton swab dot painting technique.
Materials:
- Cardstock paper (white)
- Markers
- Washable paint (green, red, brown)
- Cotton swabs (Q-tips)
- Shallow tray, plate, or recycled egg carton
Instructions:
On a piece of cardstock paper, draw a large apple using the colored marker that corresponds with each part of the apple (red apple, green leaf, brown stem). Set out a small shallow tray, plate, or recycled egg carton with a dollop of matching colored paint on it. Invite your child to dip the cotton swab into the paint and make dots on the apple outline. Your child might cover the entire apple or they might just make a few dots/strokes with the paint.
Tip- Place a real apple nearby so you can discuss each part of the apple and itβs color.
