Sort the colorful loose parts into balls of play dough.
Materials:
- Playdough
- Rainbow colored loose parts- jumbo buttons, pipe cleaners, beads, counters, etc.
- Bowl
Instructions:
For this activity, youβll need playdough in any of the rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). Gather playdough in as many colors as you have available. Then, collect loose parts in the same color as the playdough. For example, if you have red, blue, and yellow playdough then collect red, blue, and yellow loose parts. Choose loose parts that can get stick into the playdough. Place the loose parts in to a bowl.
Together with your child, flatten each color playdough and identify the color name. Then match the loose parts to the playdough color it belongs to by sticking the loose part on or in the playdough. Continue until all the loose parts have been matched onto itβs corresponding color playdough.
