Cereal Stack is a challenging threading activity using simple (and yummy) materials.
Materials:
- Muffin pan (6 cups)
- Playdough
- Toothpicks or wooden skewers
- Circle cereal (like Cheerios)
Instructions:
Place a ball of playdough into four sections of the muffin pan and stick 1-2 toothpicks or wooden skewers into each playdough ball (like a birthday candle). In the other two sections of the pan, add a handful of circle cereal. Invite your child to thread the circle cereal on each toothpick or skewer. How many can you stack? Which can stack more- the toothpick or skewer?
