A baking station is the ultimate pretend play sensory experience!
Materials:
- Large shallow bin
- Muffin pan
- Various mixing spoons
- Measuring cups
- Bowls
- Dry sensory base (rice, pasta, oats, chickpeas)
Instructions:
Choose a dry sensory base and pour it into a large sensory bin. Toss in a few cooking supplies (spoons, measuring cups, bowls, etc.) for your child to scoop, mix, pour, and bake! When youβre done playing, save the sensory base in an air-tight container or ziplock bag for another activity.
Tip- Instead of using one sensory base, check your pantry for expired or stale items. Mix and match a few different dry pantry items to explore βcookingβ with.
