Create stamps from apples to make a unique painting.
Materials:
- An apple
- Washable paint
- Cardstock paper (white)
- Painter’s tape
- Craft stick
- Recycled cardboard, paper plate, or shallow bowls
Instructions:
First, slice an apple in half and remove any seeds to observe. Stick a craft stick into the curved side of each apple half to use as a handle. Next, press the apple down onto a dish towel to remove excess juice from cutting. Add paint to a piece of recycled cardboard, or paper plate, or just squirt it into some shallow bowls. Secure a piece of cardstock paper to a table using painter’s tape. Then, hold onto the craft stick handle, dip the apple in the paint, and stamp it onto the paper.
Tip- If you want to remove the paint from the apple half to avoid mixing colors, blot the apple onto a paper towel to remove excess paint.
