Layered Art is an open-ended mixed media project using paint sticks and watercolor.

Invite your child to use paint sticks to draw on a piece of cardstock. After, choose a color of liquid watercolor (let your child pick) and squirt some in a small jar or container. Place the cardstock paper with the drawings in a tray and use a paintbrush to paint over the markings from the paint sticks. The end result is beautiful process art!
