Nature Discovery Table
Create a nature table in your play space- a surface you can place items collected from nature for more learning and exploration. Drape play silks along the top of the surface and add a few baskets, vases, magnifying glass, and some nature books on display (choose some seasonal ones). Your nature table is ready! Next time youβre outside, donβt forget to gather some nature items to discover and display this week.
π Exploration
Carrot Tops
Grow carrot tops in a little windowsill garden! Cut about 1β off the top of a large, whole carrot and place it in a small dish. Fill the dish with water until the bottom of the carrot stump is covered. Place the shallow dish and carrot top near a window that gets plenty of light (but not in direct sunlight). Keep the water level high so the bottom of the stump is always covered. In a few days, youβll notice some growth. Once roots start sprouting, you can move the carrot top to a container with soil and it will become a beautiful flowering house plant!
π΅ Opening

π Journal
My Favorite Color
On a piece of copy paper, in a sketchbook, or on the provided journal page write the following prompt: What is your favorite color? Then, ask your child the prompt and record their response. Invite them to illustrate their response and label the picture if they provide any. To extend the prompt further, ask your child to find 1-3 items around the house that are the same color as their favorite.
