Burn energy while learning in this fun scavenger hunt!
Materials:
- Copy paper
- Scissors- adult
- Bowl, basket, or bag
- Markers
Instructions:
Cut a piece of copy paper into squares and write a descriptive word on each square. Some ideas to include are:
- Color words- “Can you find something…red, blue, orange, purple, green, yellow”
- Texture- “Can you find something…soft, scratchy, hard, fluffy”
- Task- “Can you find…2 things to stack, something with wheels, something that jingles”
- Other adjectives- “Can you find something…wet, heavy, big, striped, dirty”
Fold the pieces of paper in half and place them inside a bowl, basket, or bag. Choose any card and work together to find an object that matches the description. Once your child has found the object, ask questions about it to build observational skills and increase vocabulary.
