When the music plays, move like an animal but be sure to freeze when the music stops!
Materials:
- Music
- Animal figurines (small)
- Bag
Instructions:
From your collection of animal figurines, choose a few that you and your child can act out. Place the figurines in a bag so they’re hidden from sight. Then, choose dancing music and move to an open, unobstructed space or outdoors with the bag of figurines. Pull an animal from the bag, identify it, then dance/pretend to be that animal while the music plays. Stop the music randomly and hold the pose until the music restarts- this might be tricky for toddlers but they’ll think your poses are absolutely hilarious so play along with them!
Tip- As another challenge, try altering the volume of the music. When the volume is low, have children dance slowly. When the volume is high, dance wildly with large movements.
