Match the sticker to its pair in this simple classification activity!
Materials:
- Markers
- Easel paper
- Stickers
- Painter’s tape
- Small bowl or container (2)
Instructions:
Roll out easel paper and draw 8 medium-sized rectangles organized in two rows of four. Next, divide each rectangle in half to make two sections. Gather stickers and find two stickers that are alike. Place one sticker on the left side of a rectangle and cut out the matching sticker. Place the matching sticker in a small bowl or container. Continue until you’ve set up a sticker pair for each rectangle. Secure the easel paper on a wall or window using painter’s tape and invite your child to choose a sticker from the bowl and place it in the section next to its matching pair. Use the extra bowl to place the trash from the backing of the sticker 😊
Tip- Did you know working on a vertical surface (like a wall) encourages hand stabilization for better pencil grasp and control of writing utensils
