Explore color mixing to transform primary colors into rainbow water!
Materials:
- Ice cube tray
- Small cups or jars (3)
- Liquid watercolor
- Jumbo droppers
- Tray or baking sheet
Instructions:
Add a few drops of liquid watercolor to each jar (choose one color per jar- red, yellow, and blue) and fill with water to combine. Arrange the jars, an ice cube tray, and droppers on a tray or baking sheet (this helps make clean-up a breeze). Use the droppers to squirt color into each section of the ice cube tray to create, invent, and explore new colors. This is a great opportunity to discuss colors names, cause, and effect, and promote language (dark, light, less, more, etc.)
