Mix basic kitchen ingredients to create fizzy fun potions!
Materials:
- Dish soap
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Various containers & utensils
- Tray or rimmed baking sheet
- Liquid watercolors *optional
- Jumbo dropper *optional
Instructions:
On a tray, arrange a few various-sized containers from around the house like recycled jars, bowls, and lids. Then collect some utensils and tools such as a funnel, spoons, and a jumbo dropper. Pour baking soda into a small container and fill a cup or jar with vinegar and water (usually I fill it about 75% full with vinegar). Squirt a little dish soap into the vinegar and water mixture and add a few drops of liquid watercolor if you’d like. Use the ingredients to scoop, squirt, mix, and explore to create magical potions!
Tip- If the fizzy reaction is becoming weak, pour to remove the excess vinegar from the top of the potions to continue playing!
