Hide some favorite toys around a dark room to find with a flashlight.
- Toys and stuffed animals
Collect 5-10 favorite toys or stuffed animals and hide them around the room (for young preschoolers, make them obvious and easy to spot). Then, turn off the light in the room and use a flashlight to find the hidden toys. Count aloud as you find each one. Take turns hiding and seeking.

- Spatial Awareness- Understands how objects move in space and describe their location, ex: on, under, next to.
- Communication (Expressive Language)- Uses verbal and nonverbal communication to express ideas with increasingly complex words and sentences. Engages in back-and-forth communication.
