Construction Props
Turn basic building blocks into an engaging pretend play building zone with construction props and tools. Search around the house for safe items you could offer such as a level, sandpaper, cloth measuring tape, construction worker costume, recycled cans, an empty toolbox, etc. You could also shop for some open-ended props to add to your collection like tools (pretend | real), signs, hard hats, cones, construction vests (full construction costume), and a toolbox (with tools | wooden). Simply arrange the items near the building zone to spark new ways to play!
