Materials:
- Easel paper or recycled cardboard
- Markers
- Car toys
- Dot stickers
Instructions:
Draw a large rectangle on a piece of easel paper or flat, recycled cardboard. Divide the rectangle into 10 parking spots by drawing lines to create sections around the inside of the rectangle. Label each parking spot with a shape (square, circle, triangle, oval, rectangle, heart, star) repeating as needed. Then, draw the same shapes on dot stickers and stick the dot stickers to the top of 10 toy cars. On the easel paper, draw a road leading to the parking lot. Together with your child, identify the shape on the car and drive it on the road to park in its matching shape parking spot. Repeat until all the cars have parked in their shape spot!
Tip- Draw shapes in various sizes and directions- for example, one car can have a horizontal rectangle and another can have a vertical rectangle or a small triangle and a big triangle.
