Use droppers to squirt colorful vinegar onto the baking soda canvas.
Materials:
- Jumbo droppers
- Vinegar
- Liquid watercolor
- Tray or rimmed baking sheet
- Baking soda
- Jars or small cup
Instructions:
First, fill a small jar or cup 1/3 the way up with water, a few drops of liquid watercolor (choose colors that work well together), and fill the rest of the jar up with vinegar. Then, place a dropper in each jar. After, sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda on a tray or rimmed baking sheet. Use the droppers to squirt the colored water/vinegar mix onto the baking soda to observe a fizzy reaction!
Tip- About halfway through the activity, pour off the excess water/vinegar mixture to reveal a layer of baking soda underneath ready to fizz some more!
