🔎 Exploration
Jumbo Crayons
Turn broken crayons into beautiful jumbo crayons in this all-in-one science, fine motor, art activity! First, remove the paper label from the crayons— soak the crayons in water first to easily peel the paper. Next, dry the crayons and break them into small pieces (or just collect the already broken crayons from around the house 😜). Then, place the broken crayons in a lined (silicone liners or molds work great) muffin pan and heat them in the oven at 275 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Once cooled you’ll have totally awesome rainbow crayons!

📝 Journal
Favorite Food
On a piece of copy paper, in a sketchbook, or on the provided journal page write the following prompt: What is your favorite food? Expand on your child’s response by inviting them to share why they like it- ask questions like, “How does it taste?” “How does it make you feel?” Then, ask your child the prompt and record their response. Invite them to illustrate their response and label the picture if they provide any.
