Monkey bread is a sweet pull-apart bread coated with cinnamon and sugar- it’s super easy to make and so delicious!
Materials:
- Pre-made refrigerated biscuit dough (2 cans)
- Granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
- Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- Stick butter (3/4 cup)
- Brown sugar (1 cup)
- Round pan or bundt pan
- Zip lock bag or bowl
Instructions:
First, preheat the oven to 350 F degrees. While the oven is preheating, unwrap the biscuit dough and cut each piece into quarters. Your child might enjoy rolling the dough into balls (this isn’t necessary for the recipe but is still fun). Then, mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a zip lock bag or bowl. Add the biscuit pieces and shake or gently stir to coat well. Then, evenly place the coated biscuit pieces in a greased round or bundt pan (you can rub some of the butter over the pan or use a cooking spray). Melt 3/4 cup butter in a small bowl and mix 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar then pour the mixture over the biscuit pieces. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in the center. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning upside down onto a serving plate. Pull apart to serve. Serve warm.
